Great Productions has big things planned for February! We are so excited about the Black Heritage Festival in Thomasville on Feb. 13-15. Go on a road trip to celebrate black history! Thomasville, GA is only 30 minutes away from Tallahassee! The Black Heritage Festival- courtesy of the Jack Hadley Black History Museum- is located at the Frederick Douglass Complex, 214 Alexander St. Thomasville, GA.
On Saturday, Feb. 14, local bands and musicians will take the stage at the Artist Showcase at 3 P.M. Also in attendance: OS Management, GOTTv Productions, Core DJ’s, Blazin 102.3, WSST 730 AM, A.R.T.S of Georgia and S.W.E.G.A. Entertainment. Video will be aired on North Florida/South Georgia cable network. Pictures and videos will also be featured on the Great Productions MySpace page! Contact us for artist sign-ups and registration. For more details about the Black History Festival, visit Great Productions Xchange of 411 Blog @ myspace.com/greatproductions850_411.
Every week of this month, look out for “Profiles in Black History.” Great Productions will honor an influential person in black history. It will feature prominent African-Americans of our time. Until we meet again, I leave you with a quote from Fredrick Douglass, “If there is no struggle, there is no progress.” Happy February!
