Cornelius Callins, Jr. (A.K.A Mista Red) was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 26, 1984
Mista Red attended Ensley High School and played football throughout his life.
Mista Red started rapping at age 17 in the 11th grade. He started off as an emcee in a group containing 3 members, which went on to record 3 albums.
Mista Red recorded his first solo album in August 2007 and has performed in various venues all over Birmingham clubs, parties, youth events, churches, and malls. His signature style blends old-school quality lyricism with unique contemporary hip-hop music to deliver positive Christian-based messages with a mainstream powerhouse image.
He has traveled in pursuits of his musical career to locations that include Cleveland, Ohio; Michigan; Atlanta, Savannah, and Valdosta, Georgia; Miami, Tampa, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, and Quincy, Florida; West Virginia; South Carolina; Jackson, Mississippi; Huntsville; Tuscaloosa, Arizona; Mobile, Leeds, and Anniston, Alabama.
